Why can’t you give me a specific ship date for my order right now?Updated 21 days ago
The short answer is that we made a decision to close our NV facility and migrate to our new TX production facility in a very quick manner and we were wrong about how long it would take.
The ramp-up at our Texas facility is taking longer than we originally expected. We're producing new products, implementing better machinery & equipment, all while also rolling out a new manufacturing execution system. Add to that unexpected shifts in the steel market and a surge in demand from the tariff impacts as of late, and it's been tough to maintain consistent production timelines. We're making progress — and we're committed to keeping you in the loop.
So? How are we fixing this?
First, getting predictable, fast production from our Texas facility for all of our product-line remains our team’s top priority. It is also now the top priority for the company that acquired our brands. So much, in fact, that the top executives with the new company are on the ground through May in Texas, along with our team, to ensure the ramp up gets on track… without losing quality.
Second, we’ve continued to keep our advertising efforts throttled way down compared to periods in the past and are working on back-end systems to provide more visibility to each line item through our Manufacturing Execution System (this was custom built and is being implemented on site in TX).
Why does this matter to you? Lowering our growth and sales efforts means that current and backlogged orders will ship faster than if we continued to grow new sales. And, we’re investing in development resources to directly integrate our sales channels (shopify, amazon, etsy, etc.) with our manufacturing system. This will soon allow us to automatically communicate with our customers when an order has moved to a certain stage of production and eventually provide a more accurate, real-time, estimate of ship dates
