Our most popular hairpin legs follow pretty standard height guidelines:

Credenza / Furniture Feet / Cabinet Height: 4" - 10"
Coffee Table Height: 12" - 18"
Bench Height: 16"
Desk / Dining Table Height: 26" - 30"
Countertop Height: 34" - 36"
Standing Desk / Bar Height: 40"
If you are building a larger table, our team recommends uses the following guidelines...

Leave about 12" of overhang from each end of the table for end seating. Then for the sides, usually you want about 24" for each place setting. This will give enough room for chairs, etc. 

Most of our customers find that the bottom width of the table base at 2/3 of the top is the ideal design.

What size table legs should I get?

"How much weight can your hairpin legs hold?" or "Which hairpin legs are right for...?"
These are the two most common question we get each day by far, so we thought we'd share a little more information about them with you.

The simplest, non scientific, real world answer is this:
If one person can pick up and move your table or desk easily then 3/8” 2 rod legs will be great.
If your table table or furniture is a “two person lift” then go with 1/2” diameter legs.
If your table or furniture is a “two strong people lift” then go with 1/2” 3 rod legs.
